Hello Community. Just wanted to remind everyone to be very careful when downloading random projects wallets on your same devices that you have your nexa stored. There has been another set of nexa that have been stolen from folks wallets due to downloading a wallet with malware. The suspected wallet is from a project called CCC (ceiling cat coin). It is highly recommended to use VMs or VPS's if you are trying out new potential shady projects and downloading their wallets.
Keep in mind also if you have a long term holding of Nexa you can generate wallet address offline. To do this you can download the files for our Otoplo desktop lite wallet and move them to a usb stick. You can then take that USB stick to a computer that you do not connect to the internet. And then install the wallet and generate an address on that device. That way those coins are on wallet/address that has never been exposed to the internet. You can even delete that wallet if you would like if you retain copy of your 12 word seed phrase for that wallet (aka paper wallet). If anyone needs help on this please let me know.
Ultimately holding crypto with self-custody is a powerful "right", but also a responsibility. The actions you make can prevent you from becoming a victim of a theft or scam. Do not take this responsibility lightly. @everyone
